The Applegate has a way of stretching the day without asking permission. The road winds through forests, vineyards, orchards, and family farms, following the river as the valley opens around you. Hawks circle overhead, the breeze carries through the vines, and it doesn't take long to realize you've arrived somewhere a little more wild.

Wander through the tasting notes, then let the wines tell the rest of the story, surrounded by the pristine ecosystem that shaped them. If a favorite vintage is calling your name, our current releases and library wines are available by the bottle. Right now, our flights feature 2024 Viognier, 2023 Grenache, 2023 Marsanne Roussanne, and 2022 Estate Syrah.

Seasonal ingredients find their way into our wood-fired oven, where artisan pizzas emerge bubbling and blistered, ready to be shared. Charcuterie boards bring celebrated local cheeses, cured meats, and seasonal accompaniments. Good food. Beautiful wine. All afternoon to enjoy both.

COME AS YOU ARE

Some afternoons are planned in advance. Others begin on a whim. Reservations are always a good idea, especially for groups, but feel free to drop by if your favorite swimming hole or a day at the lake brings you our way. Sandals, sundresses, swimsuits—it all fits just fine at Cowhorn.
